Fast growing, narrow, upright, deciduous tree useful for windbreaks. Glossy dark green leaves, bronze when young and turning yellow in autumn. Avoid growing poplars within 130ft (40m) of buildings. Any ordinary soil, also tolerant of cold heavy soils.
TREE 40ft x 6ft (12m x 1.8m) in 20 years, ultimate height 100ft (30m).
