This unusal variety of box grows naturally into a rounded shape, thus giving the appearance of a trimmed plant, but without pruning. Very dense habit with glossy green leathery evergreen foliage with an unusual sweet smell. Small, inconspicuous, tufty, honey scented, clusters of pale yellow flowers appear in the leaf axils from late winter to spring followed by pale green to brown fruits. The flowers are attractive to bees and other insects.. Good for containers and for planting in a knot garden.

SHRUB 60cm (2ft) ball in 20 years. Approximate 1m (3.5ft) ball when fully grown.
