Broccoli:Redhead

An improvement on traditional forms of purple sprouting. Produces a more vigorous plant with large primary heads along with good sized, secondary shoots for picking over an 8 week period through from March to April. Continuous cropping from March to April.

Sowing Instructions. Sow mid May - June. Sow thinly in a prepared seedbed, 1cm (½in) deep, in rows 45cm (18in) apart. Keep well watered and cover with fine netting at all stages, to deter birds and cabbage caterpillar attack.

Growing Instructions. Transplant when large enough to handle into well prepared, firm soil allowing 75cm (30in) between plants. Plant firmly. Water plants until established. Earth up and stake as plant develops.

Aftercare Instructions. Grows well in fertile, moist, rich well drained soil.
