Spinach:Long Standing

A well known, very popular variety, producing dark green, broad fleshy leaves. Long standing. Crops in 48 Days.

Sowing Instructions. Make repeated sowings every 3 weeks from spring to mid summer. Sow thinly in drills 2½ (1in) deep in 30cm (12in) wide rows.

Growing Instructions. A moist, rich, cool soil is best. In hot dry conditions it's best to water the seed bed well the night before sowing. Water twice a week in dry weather, on thin sandy soils they will quickly run to seed.

Aftercare Instructions. Pick two or three of the largest leaves from the whole row to encourage fresh leaves.
