Radicchio Versuvio

One of the new wave of excellent salad crops. Highly attractive and delicious, Radicchio has really increased in popularity recently. A unique flavour to complement any dish, and also has good storage capabilities.

Harvest September to December. Prefers a well drained, rich, moist soil.

SERVING SUGGESTION: Can be dressed in oil and lightly grilled, serve warm with melted cheese

Sowing Instructions. Sow April to July, thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.

Growing Instructions. Thin seedlings when large enough to handle to 30cm (12in) apart.

Aftercare Instructions. Later sowings will be less prone to bitterness.
