T&M Seeds Herbaceous Perennial - Hardy (L-Z) :

Pyrethrum T&M Single Mixed

Useful and popular plants for the border, providing masses of bright single daisy flowers at a time when the last of the spring flowers have faded and before the summer types are in bloom. The long stemmed flowers make excellent cut flowers. Flowers late spring-early summer. Hgt. 30-36in.

Sowing Instructions. Sow on the surface of the compost, covering the seed with a light layer of vermiculite, from late winter to spring in John Innes Seed Compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 30-60 days at 13-15C (55-60F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination.

Growing Instructions. Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 40-45cm (16-18in) apart into ordinary soil in full sun.

Aftercare Instructions. The plants, if cut back hard after flowering, may flower again in early autumn.

Flowering Period. Spring to early Summer
