HOW TO ORDER ON-LINE.
1. Find Items.
First find the items you wish to purchase. You can find plants
by browsing through our catalogue sections, using the plant guide to suggest a plant, looking at a plant
index or by searching for an item using the search
page.
2. Add to Trolley.
When you have found an item you wish to purchase enter
the number of items you wish to purchase and click on the
Buy button next to that item. The item will then be put
in your shopping trolley. |
 |
3.
The Shopping Trolley.
In the shopping trolley screen you have the option to remove
items from the trolley or alter the number of a particular item
in the trolley. You can also save the contents of the trolley
and retrieve it at another time.
If you wish to add further items to the trolley click on Continue
Shopping, otherwise to purchase the items in the Trolley click
on Checkout.
4. Payment and Address Details.
You will be asked for your name and address and payment method.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch on this web site.
For more details about credit card security
please see below. If payment is by a credit card we do not charge
your card until just before your order is ready to be sent to
you.
If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order you will be given
an option to send your payment in separately. You will be given
an internet receipt number. This should be written on the back
of the cheque with your full address and postcode and sent to
us by post.
All prices include VAT where applicable. If you need a VAT receipt
please ask for one when ordering.
5. What happens next?
A receipt will be printed on the screen and will be e-mailed
to you. When your order has been processed by our mail order department
you will receive a confirmation of order which will also contain
your order number and anticipated delivery time.
When your plants are ready to be despatched we will take payment
from your credit/debit card and send you an e-mail confirming
this. The plants will then be carefully packed and sent by a carrier.
When the plants have been despatched we will send you a final
e-mail advising you what is being sent.
To help us to deal with any queries as quickly as possible please
quote your order number when contacting us.
OTHER WAYS OF ORDERING
We can also accept orders by telephone, fax or post. We can accept
orders by e-mail, but would strongly advise sending credit/debit
card details by another method. You can download
or request a printed copy of our catalogue here.
Ordering By Phone
Please call our local rate phone number 0845 345 6269. Our mail
order office is normally open from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to
Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Ordering By Post or Fax
Please either download
an order form, or write your order printing clearly giving:
your name, the address with the postcode you wish your order to
be sent to, and a daytime telephone number and e-mail address,
if available. If paying by credit/debit card we also need the
cardholders address if it is different to the delivery address.
Then list the name, size, price and number of plants/items required.
Send this, together with your remittance (including carriage
and packing charge) to:
Buckingham Nurseries, Tingewick Road, Buckingham, MK18 4AE. Fax:
01280 815491.
Please make any cheques payable to "Buckingham Nurseries
Ltd".
HOW MANY PLANTS DO I NEED?
On hedging plants you can use the "hedging calculator"
to work out how many plants you need. You will find a button called
"How Many?" (see illustration at top of page) above
the buy buttons. If you click on this you will be asked how many
feet/yards/metres of hedge you require. When you type this in
your computer will calculate how many plants you require. It will
also show the total cost for each available size of that plant.
When you wish to purchase the contents of your trolley click
on "Check Out". You will be asked for your name and
address and payment method. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch
on this web site. For more details about credit
card security please click here. If payment is by a credit
card we do not charge your card until just before your order is
ready to be sent to you.
If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order you will be given
an option to send your payment in separately. You will be given
a temporary order reference number. This should be written on
the back of the cheque with your full address and postcode and
sent to us by post.
All prices include VAT where applicable. If you need a VAT receipt
please ask for one when ordering.
DELIVERY/COLLECTION OF PLANTS/PLANT AVAILABILITY
Details on plant availability, delivery times and options can
be found in our terms and conditions.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
|
We know of no cases of credit card fraud using our shopping
system over the Internet. All credit card numbers and address
details are encrypted when the order is placed so no one
can read them. They are only decrypted after they reach
our office. They are not held in clear text on any web site
and never sent in an e-mail or e-mail attachment. We take
internet security very seriously and are confident that
credit card details given to our on-line ordering system
are secure.
Sending Card Details Separately.
If you are unhappy giving your credit card details over
the internet you can either order by phone, fax or letter
(see above for details) or place
your order on-line but send you card details separately
by fax, phone or letter. We do not recommend sending credit
card details via e-mail.
When you place an order on-line you will be given an internet
receipt number. Please make sure you quote this, together
with your full address, postcode and daytime telephone number
when you send your credit card details through.
